we had skeptics. we had anxiety. but we made it and could not be happier. this place is paradise. we are staying on a houseboat on dallake and we are safe and super relaxed. we were told the houseboat was "centuries" old but we found out today the boat is around 15 years old. anyhoo, doesn't matter. yoga on the roof of the boat. and a local chef who sleeps in the den every night! we leave on a 4 day trek in the morning- ponies, the chef, snow capped himalayas. woop woop.
