last days

varkala was all about maxin n relaxin. and eatin. and bronzin. and wrecking mopeds. and reuniting with our favorite new zealander. great last days.

DJ's same same (but different)

the locals in varkala have an obsession with tracey chapman and bob marley. we had to make some changes. we mixed it up with hall and oates, the beach boys, too short, and benny sings (haw). dj's same same quin-n-quin were a hit i think.

dear ya'll the laptop broke too. we have resulted to spiral notebooks and throw away cameras. just wanted to say "haaay" and that varkala is so rad and laid back- perfect way to end our indian adventure. we still have swimming with the elephants and mountain biking left to do. hopefully we can get an eco- friendly/waterproof super-tripped-out throw away camera to document the experience! ( if anyone has a g-9 camera and a new mac to donate, call me!) much love, k.

the tip

we made it to the very southernmost tip of indiaaaaaar! we lost camera # 3 so don't get cranky if the pictures don't come for a while. we're going to rent scooters and buy throw away cameras today. love and miss to pieces. see you kinda soon. ( we did it- 4 corners of india baby!)

this is my #1, no #2, #1. i don't know. tusk just rules. lindsay buckingham has been my boyfriend for years. we've been wearing this one out on the trip.

KOLKATA

haaaaaay we're in kolkata- our second to last stop of the journey. it took a day or two to get reacquainted with being back in a big city but its great now. we reunited with our french girlfriend livia for a night and met pascal a cute french boy who we dined with before he headed to lebanon to meet his family. kolkata was the capital city when india was under british raj so there is very much of an english influence going on in the architecture and city structure. today we are going to the world's largest planetarium and then to a pub for fish and chips. ben is very happy for the moisture to be back in the air. kinda feels like macon here. next on the agenda: 49-ish hr train to varkala! the beach finally! in varkala we have many plans: $4 daily massages, continue our yoga, and get our bronze on (obvi). here is a picture of where we're headed. thanks google images.

seriously. mallory and i meet him every morning at sunrise for yoga/life lessons/and memorable advice. i must admit, we've already mastered a lot of his moves. watch out. k:"ouch that hurts". r: "well , dis ease causes disease. so stop if it hurts" ______________ r: "mallory, what kind of toothpaste do you use? i must get it immediately!" _________________ r: and remember intellectuals make poison into medicine. idiots make medicine into poision. bwahahaha. i should be in marketing. no but really, yoga is life and you will die young without it." ___________
